Martin Bak Jørgensen is Associate Professor at the Department for Culture and Learning, Aalborg University, Denmark. He is part of the research group on Democracy, Migration and Society (DEMOS). He works within the fields of sociology, political sociology and political science. He has published the following books Politics of Dissent (Peter Lang, 2015; co-authored with Óscar García Agustín), and Solidarity Without Borders: Gramscian perspectives on migration and civil society alliances (Pluto Press, 2016) and Solidarity and the ‘Refugee Crisis’ in Europe (Palgrave, 2019) both coauthored with Óscar García Agustín. He has published articles in journals like Internal Migration Review, Critical Sociology, Journal of International Migration and Integration and British Journal of International Politics.
